I’ve noticed that since beginning my recovery journey this January, I’ve become a lot less obsessed with planning…
As a consequence of reminding myself “One day at a time”, I started to think less about the future.
Thinking about the future used to be one of my favourite activities. Wondering, what will my life be like when I started this new job? When the season changes? During an upcoming trip? When I’m 35?
I didn’t really notice how my thinking had shifted until recently… when people started asking me questions, such as..… Read More Planning vs. the present

The word focus has been on my mind since Friday.
I’ve been busy the last couple days, between work and hosting a birthday for a friend, and I have my two finals this week. On Friday afternoon, those small feelings of worry started to creep in, of “How am I going to get everything done”… “Did I mess up and make the wrong decisions?”
But then I then I thought about the morning and serenity prayer. I realized that I had to trust my decision-making, both in past and present. … Read More Focus
My relationship with food continues to be a work in progress, but I do my best to try and incorporate more healthy foods into my life.
Vegetables is one area where I focus on upping my intake. Recently, I read a post from Precision Nutrition about eating the rainbow to get the most out of eating vegetables for your health. … Read More Eating the rainbow
